In the following, you will see a selection of images each presented in different quality levels. Your
task will be to state the main object you see/recognize in each image and how confident you are in
For each frame, you will need to type in your guess on the main target and select your confidence
level on a scale of 1 to 5 —1 being the lowest confidence level (not recognizing anything) and 5
being the highest confidence (almost 100% sure) — in recognizing the target. By clicking on “Next,”
a higher quality version of the current image will be presented, and your confidence level will be
asked again. This procedure continues until all ten different qualities of the same image are
presented, then a different image will be shown. There will be a total of ten different images, each
with ten different qualities, shown in the survey. On the last page, a string will be provided to
you as a reference for completing the survey. Please save the string and provide it to the
instructor for extra credit.
Participation is completely voluntary, and you can abandon the study at any time without giving any
